Ntawo Center
MUZARDI’s Center at Ntawo village in Mukono district is strategically located to provide services to districts in the northern part of the Central region including Kyankwanzi, Nakaseke, Nakasongola, Luwero, Mukono, Kayunga, Buikwe, Buvuma, Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi, Butambala, and Mityana.
The Center is very near Kampala city, urban hub of the country, and in close proximity with various universities, schools, industries, public and private sector head offices, and less than an hour’s drive from Entebbe International Airport.
It provides an opportunity to provide internships and incubation, holiday-packages and trainings for students and non-school going youths. In addition to the Center is easily accessible for corporate farmers who want to learn about existing agricultural technologies in the sub-sectors to inform investment decisions in the sector.
Ntawo Center is also best placed to provide technical backstopping and training in relation to urban and semi-urban agriculture and agro-industrialization.
It has three (3) conference rooms (one having capacity to host over 100 participants), a board rooms, two (2) dining halls, and dormitories with capacity to accommodate close to 100 residential participants.
Ntawo Center has been chosen to be the Agri-skilling and Training Coordination Center especially for youth to benefit from training and mentorship expertise in other NARO PARIs.
It has been designated as the Central NARO Incubation Center for scientists, university graduates, youth, and private sector to nature ideas and innovations for agricultural solutions with technical backstopping.
